Barney Fletcher
Barney Fletcher, founder and owner of the school, has been in the real estate education business since 1970. He received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia in 1967, majoring in Real Estate and Insurance. In 1972, he earned a Master's Degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University. A founding member of RealtyU and a charter member of the Real Estate Educator's Association (REEA), Barney received the Distinguished Career Award from the Georgia Chapter of REEA in 1997.
Barney Fletcher RealtyU® is Georgia's largest, most comprehensive provider of real estate and appraisal education. The school has over 75 courses approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission or the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board. Barney Fletcher RealtyU®, formerly known as Barney Fletcher Schools, is a charter member of RealtyU®. The school changed its name in 2004 to reflect its commitment to the opportunities and relationships offered through RealtyU®. Operating since 1980, the school offers over 7,200 hours of instruction annually to thousands of students. The school's instructional staff of 15 permanent instructors has over 100 years combined experience in teaching real estate. Tom Gillett, who has taught over 20 years for the school, was recognized in 2003 as the Instructor of the Year by the Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
With six locations, Barney Fletcher Real Estate Schools is the largest provider of real estate and appraiser education in Georgia. For almost 25 years, they have trained ten of thousands of the top-producing agents in the state and have been members of RealtyU Network of real estate schools since 1994. |
